Stacey Cardy
Nominated Supervisor and Educational Leader
My Philosophy
I believe that for children to learn, they need to feel safe, secure and supported in their environment and this can be achieved through the developing and fostering trusting positive relationships. I believe that all children are competent and capable far beyond our expectations. I believe that the curriculum needs to support children on their individual development, as they are all unique, have differing strengths and interests and learn at their own pace. I believe that our educational program should be based on the strengths, ideas and interests of children, while incorporating feedback, ideas and input from families and the wider community. I believe that using intentional and spontaneous teaching strategies children will be able to achieve goals set in conjunction with families and based on the knowledge and expertise of educators. I believe a routine needs to incorporate large amounts of time for free play for children to engage in opportunities for deep learning, whilst having access to move freely between indoor and outdoor environments. I believe that play based learning supports the development of children holistically within their early years of learning.Qualifications

Personal Statement
Hi, my name is Stacey and I grew up on a large cattle and sheep property in Timor and I am now lucky to call Bunyah home.
I live there with my husband Craig and our daughter Rahni. We have a little menagerie there with 3 dogs, a cat, 4 ducks and a rabbit (who all get to eat the scraps from the children each day).
We also run some Angus cattle as a bit of a hobby. I enjoy playing tennis, country music and catching up with friends and family.
